The Bellos brothers may not be native-born Americans, but they are certainly not foreign to music, transparency in their lives, or the quality of being genuine. Originally from Ukraine where religious freedom is hardly encouraged, their underground fervor and Christlikeness burst forth in this earnestly worshipful tune – from the simple piano/guitar accompaniment to the lush harmonies, everything in this debut single unites to supplement the forlorn sentiment of a lost soul. It’s no wonder the band is rising to renown as a forerunner of modern worship; the bandmates’ Russian diversity increases the depths of their songs. My only gripe is the occasional mystery lyric that lacks cohesion: “even though the world I’m in / the perfect pitch, its ways appear.”
